Something for the Mothers!

Somebody said it takes about 6 weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby...
Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, "normal" is history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct ...
Somebody never took a 3- year-old shopping.

Somebody said being a mother is boring ...
Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.

Somebody said good mothers never raise their voices ...
Somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball through the neighbour's kitchen window.

Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother ...
Somebody never helped a 4th grader with his math.

Somebody said you can't love the 5th child as much as you love the first ...
Somebody doesn't have 5 children.

Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in the books . .
Somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labour and delivery...
Somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the 1st day of kindergarten ... or on a plane headed for their OE.

Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back...
Somebody never organized 7 giggling Brownies to sell cookies.

Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married...
Somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son- or daughter-in-law to a mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home ...
Somebody never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her
.....Somebody isn't a mother......

My Real Age!

I was being smart and it came back and bit me in the @r$e...

Dee here.. says:
so how does it feel ?

Tash says:
29?
hmm young and unmarried

They say age is just a number, and they are ABSOLUTELY right! It may be stated as 28+(Not 29 yet thanks!) in all my IDs but.. my real age 30.05 ... sigh.. the price you pay to be married with children??!?

But maybe I'm just not having a good day, firstly I'm coming down with a flu, and I've got the Deli Tummy... Must have been the seafood last night...

Sorry for all the inconvenience, but I think this is more suitable.. As much as I would hate to admit it, I'm ChiwiMa now... ChiwiGal has been taken over by my daughter!

I'm feeling old! Got a sms from my best friend "Tash aka Pipah aka Nor Afifah bt Mohd Shukran aka Nastasha aka Cat Sneeze ... Etc" this morning ..
Wish you were here D. Went Clubbing last night. It's good to know eve at 29 and after all these years of not clubbing, I still got it! Picked up a guy last night, didn't shag him. And you know what? HE IS ITALIAN!! Now you can smack yourself for getting married! Haha...

Sigh.. Don't get me wrong. I love my kids and would trade nothing in the whole wide world for them, but... I still want to go out and party!!! hahahha The good old days huh Tash... 4 nights a week, Tash was one party animal!! She would go out partying when I couldn't, (those months when my parents where in NZ, sssccchhh..) She would party till morn, get home, freshen up and walk to class. Then she would go home, have a wee nap, walk to the pool and swim 50 laps! Have dinner and off she goes again, partying!!!

4 nights a week, at Margarita's (before it turn into a meat market! Thank you very much) I think we were the first Asians in the club! Now?? It's just another Asian hang out too! Sigh... Monday nights was “Backpackers nights” ,that's where Jinxy meet her match!*wink*; Tuesdays was snooker nights; Wednesdays was always "SamBrero’s Night". Thursday was ladies nights; Friday and Saturdays are the usual weekend Partying, and Sunday nights are just for the bored ones... (just been arguing about the order of the nights with Tash.. Sigh it's been so long!!) So Margies was pretty much our 2nd home! We were normally there on Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, sometimes Tuesday and Sunday too if we are really bored!
Tash says:
we were always bored
So there ... :p We would start dancing once we arrive and stop only when it's the last song on, (usually a slow song...) And NO we were not on anything, nor drugs, nor alcohol, "Just Water and Lime, Please." (--- Tash.. remember Barry Aprice?? droll.. "Can I tell you a secret.. I see dead ppl!" lol) The most hours I was on the dance floor was .. 10 pm - 3 am @ Marg's; Sometime we would go to Havana b4 midnight to get in for free :p for some Salsa; 4am - 7 am @ Kiss Bar; then there was that Club, which name has just slipped my mind on Albert St that opens till noon! So that's about 12 or more hours! NOW! I'm asleep by 11:30pm the latest!

The good old days.....

Finding Our Next Step In Life!

Well.. We know that eventually we will be heading back to NZ; to retire; the children’s education; the lifestyle; the food(… mmm.. fresh oyster…steak…lamb…). So yes.. Eventually, we want to move back to NZ, or Canada. (but that might be a little too cold for my liking! And a wee bit too far…)

But b4 that, we need a plan.. A plan to get us financially viable to move back to NZ!
With our present financial situation at the moment, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be in our 5 year plan! Firstly, we are still paying of our NZ trip, last May (RM24000). Then, there is Hamish’s wedding in London! RM7 to 1 pound?? (RM24000???) Seriously thinking about not going!! That is like the deposit for a house in NZ??? So.. here is our plan. Make some NZ dollars!!! Donations are also welcomed!!

1. Designing and selling breastfeeding clothes to NZ. *In the process of getting the first samples ready now.
2. Designing and marketing a “Summer Camp” to English learning students. * Been put on hold for some other projects
3. Setting up a English Learning Center in China. * In the process of finallizing.. for Fu Chow(China)
4. Setting up a Training Center in NZ. * Gonna have to wait till we are back in NZ
5. Buy a property in NZ and start generating some income! * Most probably after everything else is set up and running.

At the moment, 1, is on hold. 2, is in the process of organizing. 3, in the process of talking to a Tan Sri that owns a school in Kunming. 4, in the process of research! 5, Sigh.. no money yet! So much to do, so little money!

update 22/7/06: -
So No.1 is in the process of being designed and made.. can't wait til we get to see the end product.
No2. is put on hold til we have sorted out 3 and 4.
No3. is now changed to Fu Chow, China, having the final meeting on Wednesday this coming week, to see if it'a definitely a goer or not.

But if everything works out.. hmm.. who knows we might be back in NZ in 7 years?! So that's not too bad!

Been chatting to MacVaySia, selling him the idea of moving to NZ, muahahah, the more the merrier, right?? hehehe Maybe do a joint venture on Idea 4. What do you think Mac? That gives you a "work permit" too, if we do!

Anyone else wants to join us in NZ?? Sign up now!!

Make The Difference! Start Loving what you hate!

The recent controversy of the "cartoons"..
"A 14-year-old boy was shot dead by police when a protest in northeastern Somalia turned violent on Monday, residents and hospital sources said."

These ppl are chanting "God is Greatest" and "Death to America".. How can they put love and hate in the same sentence?!

There is just so much negativity in this world today. I'm for one guilty of adding negative energy into this world! Granted, it is difficult to forgo judging someone, love your enemy, and think positive thoughts when, everything is just not going your way or have situations that are causing you pain or anger. But do you know that, by just deciding to love what you hate, you become one less person adding negativity to the universe?

In other words, loving what you hate can help you enjoy your life more, whether this is a person, situation, or a part of yourself. There is little room for anger, dislike, bitterness, or resentment when you are busy loving what you hate. This can also create a profound change in your feelings and your experience.

Rather than lowering yourself to the level of hatred, you also empower yourself by not letting negativity enter your life!

"Be the change you want to see in the world" - Ghandi
"...our individual well-being is intimately connected both with that of all others and with the environment within which we live.

It also becomes apparent that our every action, our every deed, word and thought, no matter how slight or inconsequential it may seem, has an implication not only for ourselves but all others too." - Dalai Lama

(Right, call me a hippy if you want, but if it makes a difference, just a little, you can call me whatever you want!)

This was quite a BIGGIE!
We had... 200 Bowls of Cendol, 1000 Satays,
10 course buffet enough to feed 100 ppl,
a big roasted pig WHOLE!
and lots and lots of alchomohol...
I think we had about 100 ppl coming and going.
but still we were left with a whole lot of leftovers,
enough for an army! Posted by Picasa
