Dumb Blonde!

It's the 3rd day into the school holiday, right before the school holiday, ( and since my parents are back from NZ) I thought it would be a great idea to take the kids to Malacca, so once again, I brought up the sites to Malacca, things I wanna do, see and fun that the kids can have. I, again showed it to Maddog, and his reply was "Malacca, AGAIN?"

Yes, bl**dy again! I have been wanting, and waiting to go to Malacca for the past 4 years!! and have yet to been once!!! So of coz AGAIN!!!!!

The kids and I have been stuck at the shop almost 24x7 for the past months! I want to take the kids out to have some fun, things that they can't experience here in the shop or little old Sitiawan. BUT Maddog wants to go to KL, to see friends. OK, fine, KL for the million-th time! So I suggested we stay at Berjaya Time Sq, where there is a huge mall for mummy, a indoor theme park; 3D cinema; swimming pool for the kids; and Maddog still can meet up with his friends. No... Maddog went and booked a hotel by The Curve! becoz IKEA is there. (THERE IS NOTHING THERE FOR THE KIDS!!!!!) He can't seem to get it in his head!!! ARGH!!!!!

Power of the Mind.

Our subconcious mind is a very powerful thing.. and for ppl that are lazy to read and I am definitely guilty of that, therefore, I think this subliminal CDs thing is the best thing that have happened so far! :)

http://www.subliminal-cds.com/ has got more than 120 different CDs. From 'weight loss' to 'Extinguish your Fear of the Dark' to 'Write a GREAT Novel NOW' (good one for you SA, not that you need it anyway :p). Hm.. they've got 'Improve Your Dancing Skills' maybe I should get that for Maddog.. or even this (hehehehe not as if his woman is not wild enough! no, not int hat way that you are thinking 'hor ny ang moh'. ) and this (Become Romantic), and this. Tash, here is one for you, 'Conquer Your Fear of Commitment'. There is somthing in there for everyone and any one!!

As for me.. I'm waiting for them to come out with 'Have HUGE, firm breast, today!'hehehe but then I might get this, and this, and this. Or maybe even this, and this, and this. heheheh Ok I need that credit card of mine!

Opsey

I forgot.. I need to put a post in between the PPPs.. so here is something short and sweet :p

To be able to love, must first learn how to let go!

LASIK Part 2

Remember how I mentioned that I didn't know if I wanted To LASIK or Not to LASIK and that I was afraid of the Lasik Complications? well.. fear no more.. ( hehehe I've always wanted to say that! )

ComplicatedEyes.org is operated by the same people as USAEyes.org. As an Optician, I see my customers come back, most very happy about their result, and some with minor complications like dry eyes, or some left over astigmatism. BUT overall very please with not having to wear contact lenses/spec anymore. Well this site, some ideas about how to avoid them and even a forum for ppl to talk about it.

I would definitely recommend it to my next customer that asks me about LASIK. :)

Spidey Sunday...

"Oh I forgot.. while we were waiting outside the movie theater. There, a father pointed out to his son, probably around 5 years old. He pointed to Maddog saying "look! spider man." ok.. other than they are both 'guai lo' and has dark features, they look nothing alike! muahahahaha "

After working 5 Sundays consecutively, I had yesterday off! So we decided to take the kids to the movies! "Spider Man" It was also the kids first movie in a movie theater.

The movie theater that we went to "Arasu" has probably been there more than 30 years! So you can imagine how old the chairs and everything was, it still has fans on the ceiling. The kids really enjoyed it, so did we, they were dancing and trying to break the chairs.

Caleb slept at the end as it was his nap time so he missed 1/4 of the movie...

After the movie, we did some gardening for the new house, my parents are coming back end of this week, so I wanted to have it done to surprise them. Plus I wanted to do some 'hard work'. Am so sick of being stuck in the office 7 days a week! :)

So I would say that yesterday was a day when I got lots accomplished! :) Today.. it's back to work.

Just another Saucy Blonde Day..

Bah.. I actually wrote a great piece yesterday, but the power got cut, and I lost it! Yup, both my mind and my piece! hehehe let me try and see if I can find it...

I got Maddog to go get lunch from our local "Nasi Ayam Klassic". Maddog got himself a 'Nasi Ayam' and got me a Beehoon Sup. As we set down to have our lunch..

Maddog (looking at his lunch) : Where's the sauce??
At this point, the maid heard him asking, and was rumbling thru the kitchen looking for 'sauce', came running out with packets of tomato sauce(ones you get from KFC).
Me (to the maid) : Saya rasa dia bukan nak 'sauce' itu. (I don't think those that the 'sauce' he want.)
The 'Nasi Ayam' normally comes with a little pack of special 'soy sauce' and a little pack of chilli sauce.

Maid (in the kitchen) : Sini tak ada sauce lain, munkin kedai itu lupa bagi. (There's no sauce here, maybe the shop forgot to give him)

Me (to the maid) : Munkin Kedai itu nampak dia itu orang putih, tak bagi dia chilli kut. (Most probably the place saw that he is a white man, and didn't give him the chilli.)
Maddog (yelling across the room to me) : Hey, I understood that! What did you say??!
Me : If you understood, then why do you want me to say it again! Aiyo~~~
Maddog does tend to have a few of these Blonde Days! But he is not where close to being blonde, or have blue eyes! You can read his other blonde moment regarding Street signs ...... "I'm on JALAN SAHALA" sigh...

For those of you that still doesn't know what is PPP, well, let me tell you.. it's this fabulous site, set up by these fabulous guys and gals, paying ppl to write a post on opportunities that they have searched, and begged with blood and sweat from advertisers, so that we, bloggers can have $$$ in our pocket! Yes it's "Blog Advertising" but I have nothing against $$$ ! Everyone needs it, everyone would love to have more! So why not?

Since When?

Since when did the name Diana became a Nama(name) Malayu??

While I paying for my groceries at EconSave today, the cashier took a look at my credit card and had a surprised look on her face.

Cashier
: (looks up at me)"Diana... ?! You masuk islam ya ? Nama Malayu.."
Me : (smile)"Diana... actually ialah nama English.(actually is an English name)"
Cashier :(disbelieve look)"Tak lah, Diana adalah nama Malayu." (No, Diana is a Malay name)
erm... here is an 18 year old little Malay girl telling me that the name Diana is a Malay name. Since when did that happen?!? Why wasn't I told about it?!?! Sigh.. head scratching, mind boggling stuff this is! :p

BUG!

I've just watched the trailer of "Bug". It definitely looks really interesting.

I like the poster on the left a little more, it has Ashley Judd in the middle of the bug looking, blood looking thing! But then the right poster has got the image of Micheal Shannon/Harry Connick Jr in her face.. so does that mean that 'he' has something to do with the whole
"Bug" thing?

It is also directed by the directors of "Exorcist". My eyes and ears were closed for most part of that movie, so this new bug movie can't be too bad! Maybe... just maybe, I would be able to keep my eyes open for the whole movie! It's only a little small "Bug", RIGHT???

I for one definitely don't like bugs or any other insect, or movies that has 'it' in them, I find them really fake and unrealistic. But this bug movie, well, from what I can see from the trailer, is a little more realistic. They are actual small bugs that live all around us, in our blood stream, and they feed on our brain! And I heard they are looking for a Queen!

Coming to a brain near you!

Ok.. I'm paraniod now! I've just read a thread in their forum, there are really such a bug!!!

Photo Hunter : Childhood

This week's PhotoHunt Challenge is Childhood, I was looking and looking and .... I thought this is perfect! My hubby, he has always complained that he has been dragged, kicking and screaming into his adulthood. Here is a picture that I caught! Him at my children's playschool! Reminiscing his childhood.
If you look closely you can see that a grin!

Dirty Thirties!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
My husband can no longer say that he is sleeping with a 20+ anymore!

Overall, it was a great day, except for the part where my husband got so drunk that he forgot to feed the kids, so we were 1 1/2 hours late to our dinner and had our guest waiting for ages. Leaving a man to do a woman's job huh?? Anyway...

The Macvays came down from KL to celebrate with us, as it was Leen's birthday as well on the same day! So we girls went for a manicure and pedicure; then for a Baliness massage and body scrub, topped off with yogurt; then we got our hair done. A nice day of pampering. We finished off with a great dinner of really really great steak!

To Lasik or Not to Lasik

I've always wanted to have perfect eye sight! To be able to lay on my bed and watch TV, without searching hi and low for my glasses. Or waking up in the middle of the night to take my contact lenses off becoz I forgot it was in. Or to wake up extra early to put my contact lenses in. I don't really have high prescription(Only -2.00 on both eyes), but becoz I'm a control freak, plus perfectionist. (There is a very fine line between those two) I NEED PERFECT VISION or I would feel really uncomfortable! :) So Lasik sounds like the perfect solution...

USAEyes.org concluded that 90% of patients achieved 20/40 vision or better – good enough to drive without glasses – and 65% achieved 20/20 vision, after a review of US Food and Drug Administration clinical trials, peer-reviewed data, and individual patient outcomes.

Some studies show as much as 98% with 20/20 vision or better, but these tend to be a subgroup with a low prescription and only Lasik patients. This reports includes laser and lens procedures, not just Lasik.
But Does it HURT?!?! What's the side effect??
Approximately 3% of patients had some sort of unresolved complication at six months after surgery, with 0.5% being serious problems requiring extensive maintenance or invasive correction. Dry eye symptoms are the most often reported difficulty.
The numbers are really low...

I've had a few cousins that has gone thru the procedure and are very happy with their result. Maybe... I should give this Lasik thing another look...
