BirdFlu + Tamiflu = ???

The New Zealand Government says it has a stockpile of the anti-flu drug Tamiflu to cover 21 per cent of the population should there be a bird flu pandemic.

I don't know to be happy or worried!

Tamiflu linked to deaths of 12 children ( )
Yesterday in a report posted online, the US Food and Drug Administration said that 12 children had died in Japan from a range of causes including heart attack, suicide, pneumonia, and acute pancreatitis. Four had suffered a "sudden death" which was" an unusual phenomenon in otherwise healthy children". All had taken Tamiflu.

some strains of avian influenze seem to have developed immunity to tamiflu as well now so it might be of no use
